Jashpreet Kaur, Founder of Baby Massage with Love, is a Psychology major who always knew that her passion is working with parents and their infants and children as well as nurturing children in schools. She followed her heart and made a unique career from this. She furthered her studies and trained to be a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) and Massage in Schools Instructor and International Trainer with the Massage in Schools Association (MISA).
Jashpreet is also an active member of both IAIM and MISA Malaysia and conducts awareness talks regularly. She is also a non-executive board member of MISA International. She hopes to create a deep understanding of many important concepts and roles of parents and educators in our urban society. She is also an author as she has written many online and printed articles and featured in several media outlets in Malaysia. She has also published her first book, Cuddles of Love, in 2015 which is available in major bookstores in Malaysia, Singapore and online at mphonline.com. Her vision is that this book is read by every expecting parent so that parents understand the crucial need for secure relationships to have better family harmony and a more compassionate future society. She also writes a blog where many issues, concerns and topics are shared with regards to parenting, schools and ways children learn.
Jashpreet has also assisted schools in implementing the Massage in Schools Programme (MISP) which is a revolutionary programme for children ages 4-12 that helps instill self-respect, respect of peers, reduce bullying and aggression in schools, help children to relax, increase concentration and many more. Furthermore, this programme also includes integration of games and movements in learning school subjects which is a fun way children can learn and children learn best through movement. She hopes to see more children in school allowed to learn in a more relaxed and less stressful manner for their mental and emotional well-being and MISP can provide that platform. She brings her enthusiasm when she trains MISP instructors in Malaysia and overseas and truly believes that this programme is impressive and every child needs touch as a human being for the betterment of our society and so many more benefits.
